TV Show Reviews

Reviews of TV things I've watched.Back to Reviews Page

American Murder: Gabby Petito • 2025 • A very well done documentary on an age old problem. Depressing but also uplifting at times. Don't watch if you're not in a good place. • Liked It Bad Sisters • 2022 • S1&2 I would rank this as "loved it" based on S1, but S2 brought it down slightly. Still very much worth watching! Hilarious and nerve- wracking. • Liked It Better Call Saul • 2015 • This is not Breaking Bad, and some people never forgave it for that. Honestly, the writing was better though. Very twisty and turny. One of the all-time greats. • Loved It! Black Doves • 2024 • This kind of tv is right up my alley. Spies, intrigue, excellently written and acted characters... it's the perfect, fun escape. • Loved It! Black Rabbit • 2025 • It's hard to like the two main characters in this show, but they do become sympathetic characters over time. There's plenty of tension, action, and family dynamics to go around. Some people are bad for themselves and everyone around them. • Liked It Dark Winds Season 1 • 2022 • Dark Winds started off incredibly well - suspenseful, well-paced, well-written, and then faded slightly as it reached the end of season 1. Readers will know I find this to be an issue with much of TV. Still, I loved it and recommend season 1! • Loved It! Dark Winds Season 2 • 2022 • At the beginning of S2, I thought it was going to be a letdown. In fact, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The actors all live their characters very well, and I hope S3 comes to Netflix soon. • Loved It! Dope Thief S1 • 2025 • I can't decided how l'd rate this overall, because it does have some slow moving points and a couple glaring weaknesses. But it's also one of the shows I look forward to the most. So... I guess I love it? • Loved It! Formula 1: Drive to Survive • 2019 • Season 7 of Drive to Survive is certainly the only season I'd rate this highly. FINALLY they quit manufacturing stories that barely existed and largely abandoned the constant chronological jumps. • Loved It! Formula 1: Drive to Survive • Season 8 review. Once again Drive to Survive is very painful for long- time and knowledgeable Formula One fans. They continue to manufacture story lines that don't quite exist and they continue to give Christian Horner more attention than that guy deserves. And now they've added Flavio Briatore to the attention they don't deserve category. The last couple of episodes were pretty good though. **
