Acacia / Haru Yo, Koi (Nina Kraviz Remix) - Single • 2024 • Yumi Matsutoya • I have a weird relationship with J-Pop. I spent a good chunk of my childhood desperately trying to escape it. Now I appreciate some of it. Yumi Matsutoya is right on the edge of liking and only wanting in small doses. 😄 • Liked It
Affection • 2020 • Bugseed • I don't know how I ran across Bugseed. I have zero memory of it. All I know is, this is wonderful lo-fi funk, perfect for programming, zoning out, or just forgetting the hellscape that is 2025. Can recommend. • Liked It
Alto's Odyssey (Original Game Soundtrack) - EP • 2018 • Todd Baker & Torin Borrowdale • Yeah, it's a weird thing to like but (just like the game) the music is SO good! • Loved It!
Any Day • 2018 • The Sea and Cake • A lot of alternative sounds the same, and it's annoying about it. I stumbled across these guys by accident somehow, and they don't strike me that way. A nice summer evening listen with a Honey Ale or a Coffee Stout. • Liked It
Big Calm • 1998 • Morcheeba • This album ranges from mellow and dreamy to intense and attitudinal. It's a must. And omg, Skye Edwards is amazing! • Loved It!
Bye Bye • Jpn 2022 • Mr. Shira • I don't even know how to categorize this. It's like Japanese LoFi or something. It's weird and wonderful. • Loved It!
Caves • 2020 • Rocket Empire • Rocket Empire is great. Caves is downtempo, serene goodness. Very glad I stumbled across this. • Loved It!
Dive • Artist: Almost Monday • I heard "Can't Slow Down" in a 7-Eleven, that's literally how I discovered this album and band Not my usual, but good! • Liked It
Flashback • 2000 • Electric Light Orchestra • Let's face it, not everything ELO did is magic (strange or otherwise). But their highs are so high. A great look back. • Liked It
Fly From Here • 2011 • Yes • You may not have heard this. You may not have been aware that Yes was still doing great work in 2011. But they were, and this is (I think) one of their best. • Loved It!
